70% off Strike 2 at Plugin Boutique until the 31st of August, 2026

Plugin Boutique has announced a significant discount on Strike 2, a sophisticated drum and arranger virtual instrument developed by AIR Music Technology. This promotion offers a remarkable 70% price reduction, valid until August 31, 2026, presenting an attractive opportunity for music producers and composers to access a professional-grade drum creation tool.

Strike 2 stands out for its advanced approach to digital drumming, employing proprietary technology designed to replicate the nuances of human performance far beyond standard MIDI programming methods. Rather than relying on typical sample loops, Strike 2 enables users to craft drum tracks that convey realistic dynamics, timing, and groove, delivering a lifelike feel to computer-generated percussion.

Central to Strike 2’s appeal is its extensive sound library, recorded at the esteemed Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. The instrument includes 19 customizable drum kits covering a wide range of genres, from R&B acoustic kits to funk-infused acid jazz and spacious 1980s-style reverberated kits. Each drum sample benefits from multi-microphone recording techniques, including close, overhead, and room mics, allowing for detailed sonic control and mixing flexibility.

Users can tailor their drum tracks with real-time adjustments to intensity, complexity, timing, and dynamics, facilitated by Strike 2’s dynamic performance engine. This engine eliminates the mechanical artifacts common in sample playback by smoothly modulating the drum tone based on playing intensity, avoiding abrupt velocity changes.

The software also integrates a comprehensive mixing console equipped with built-in effects such as EQ, compression, reverb, delay, and more specialized processors like bit crushers and filters. These tools provide producers with the ability to sculpt drum sounds directly within the instrument, enhancing workflow by reducing the need to switch between multiple plugins.

In addition to its sound design capabilities, Strike 2 includes an onboard Style Editor that allows users to create and customize drum patterns. The software supports automation for any parameter, enabling dynamic changes over time, which can be controlled via MIDI controllers for hands-on performance adjustments.

Strike 2 is compatible with major digital audio workstations (DAWs) and supports WAV and AIFF file formats, allowing users to import and utilize their own sample libraries alongside the included kits. This versatility caters to a broad spectrum of users, from soundtrack composers to pop and rock producers seeking realistic drum accompaniment.

To activate Strike 2, users must register their license through the iLok License Manager, a common platform for software licensing in the audio production industry. Plugin Boutique provides guidance for both new and existing iLok users to facilitate a smooth setup process.

This extended promotional period for Strike 2, lasting until late August 2026, underscores Plugin Boutique’s commitment to making high-quality production tools accessible to a wide user base. While details on sales volume or user response have not been disclosed, the offer represents a compelling value proposition for anyone looking to enhance their drum programming capabilities with cutting-edge technology.
