evilgiane & Slimesito Announce New Album EVILSLIME 2 Out Friday: Hear “Georgia State”

Brooklyn producer evilgiane, known for his influential role in the Surf Gang collective, is set to continue his collaboration with Maryland rapper Slimesito through the forthcoming release of EVILSLIME 2. This new project follows their initial joint EP, EVILSLIME, which debuted earlier in 2024 and consisted of eleven tracks that fused their distinct regional styles.

While specific details about EVILSLIME 2 remain scarce ahead of its release, the project is scheduled to drop this Friday. The announcement has been accompanied by the premiere of the lead single, "Georgia State," which offers an early glimpse into the sonic direction of the album. This track is a product of collaboration between evilgiane and producer EERA, emphasizing a stark, minimalist soundscape.

"Georgia State" is characterized by its deep, foreboding low frequencies that build an ominous atmosphere, allowing Slimesito’s vocal delivery to stand out with clarity and precision. The stripped-back production style highlights the rapper's lyrical articulation and cadence, showcasing a chemistry that has been cultivated since their initial partnership.

The music video for "Georgia State," directed by Braden Farias, complements the track’s dark tone with visual elements that underscore its moody and intense vibe. Though the video is minimalist in execution, it effectively enhances the song’s thematic tension and artistic ethos.

This collaboration marks a significant continuation of a creative relationship between two artists bridging Brooklyn and Maryland scenes. evilgiane’s production style, noted for its minimal yet impactful beats, merges seamlessly with Slimesito’s distinctive voice and narrative approach, demonstrating an evolution from their debut effort.

EVILSLIME 2 appears poised to build on the momentum generated by the first EVILSLIME release, which introduced listeners to their shared aesthetic of moody, atmospheric rap. As the release date approaches, anticipation is growing among fans and industry observers eager to hear how their sound has developed.

Although further information about the full tracklist, featured artists, or thematic concepts of EVILSLIME 2 has yet to be disclosed, this initial offering signals a commitment to maintaining an evocative and minimalist production style.

The partnership between evilgiane and Slimesito reflects a broader trend of regional collaboration in hip-hop, where artists from different locales combine their unique influences to create innovative and compelling projects.

In summary, EVILSLIME 2 is set to reinforce the artistic synergy between a prominent Brooklyn producer and a rising Maryland rapper, with "Georgia State" serving as a compelling introduction to the album’s aesthetic and mood. Further details will likely emerge as the release date nears, but for now, this project offers a promising continuation of their creative dialogue.
